Opportunity for High Schoolers to volunteer as English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher Assistants! Meet immigrants in metro Boston, make new friends, learn about ESL and help teach English with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) Boston.
YWAM is a global, interdenominational Christian missions program and their English department in Boston has ongoing English language classes offered to speakers of other languages. The program is filled with local immigrant neighbors. The term lasts from September to June each year, and occurs on Wednesday nights, from 7-9pm.
This organization offers a short, two day group training session for homeschooling high schoolers (15+ years) to learn how to be Teacher Assistants with YWAM Boston. After training completion, TAs can be paired with TESOL certified teachers and can volunteer weekly as Teacher Assistants in local classes.
