A year-long education program that challenges students, in grades 6-12, to engage in research and interpretation of historical topics related to an annual theme. NHDAZ provides students with reading, writing, research and communication skills that prepare them for college and careers. NHDAZ is coordinated by the Arizona Historical Society.

The After School Articulation & Phonology (ASAP) program provides individual and small group speech therapy to improve production of speech sounds. ASAP meets at Arizona State University Tempe Campus Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:45 - 5:00pm. from January 31 - April 13, 2017. Programs and classes are on the animals most people only see in a zoo. Each class we learn about the animals, craft or activity then do hands on with the animals. Examples include: ROUS - Capybara, Patagonian Cavy and baby rodents, Lizards, Hokie Pokie - Porcupine and hedgehogs, Goats and Sheep, Bugs, Pigeon Release, Farm animals, Snakes, Turtles and Tortoises, and Fossil Dig. Class size is limited to 15.
