A year-long education program that challenges students, in grades 6-12, to engage in research and interpretation of historical topics related to an annual theme. Students produce scholarly projects in the form of dramatic performances, research papers, imaginative exhibits, multimedia documentaries and websites which are presented in regional, state and national competitions. NHDAZ provides students with reading, writing, research and communication skills that prepare them for college and careers. NHDAZ is coordinated by the Arizona Historical Society.
