Our school is a community, where children of all ages can connect in meaningful relationships across grade levels. Our class groupings are fluid, allowing students to be challenged at every ability level. All of our children have a minimum of an hour of outdoor recess a day. Our class groupings are very small: on average, 1:7. Classes meet outside as much as possible.

While math and English are integral parts of our school, our teachers will also integrate rotating history and science lessons based on child interest, and daily rotating enrichment classes will feature topics such as music, art, yoga, and nature studies. Trailside is a relaxed hybrid program, meaning we do not grade, or require homework to be done outside of class. Our instructors at Trailside have extensive experience working with homeschoolers, and love what they do! The program is two, five hour school days a week.
