Week Long Introduction to Weaving Class
$230.00 Supply Fee: $30 (Instructor provides all the yarn)
Jump into the rewarding world of handweaving! This immersive course is designed for anyone aged 13 and up who's eager to learn the foundational skills of weaving on a floor loom. From initial project conception to the satisfying final touches, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire weaving process.
Project: Throughout the week, you'll focus on creating a set of practical and beautiful cotton hand towels.
Curriculum: You will master warp preparation, the art of dressing a floor loom, fundamental weaving techniques (plain weave and twill variations), and project finishing with confidence.
Equipment & Materials: The guild supplies all necessary equipment and materials, including individual floor looms (Wolf Pups), a variety of cotton yarns, shuttles, and all other essential weaving tools.
