Prickly Pear Nature School is an alternative preschool/kindergarten (ages 4-6) program that focuses on nature play, child-led exploring, and hands-on/experience learning. We meet 2 or 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) 9am-3pm from September through the end of May. Space is limited to 4 or 5 children. Located in Tower Grove East, we usually begin our day with a walk to Tower Grove Park or other nearby park. We will spend most of our day outside reading, creating art, picnicking, and generally enjoying childhood. We go outside in all weather! The focus is on child-led exploring/learning, fostering independence, confidence, and inclusion.
