Mindful Beginnings is an authorized Safe Sitter® provider offering instructor-led safety and caregiving courses for children, teens, and adults throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. Classes are taught by certified instructors, including teachers and registered nurses, who are trained in the Safe Sitter® curriculum and certified in CPR and first aid. Rather than operating from a fixed location, Mindful Beginnings brings courses directly to schools, scout troops, community groups, and private homes.
Course offerings include Safe Sitter® babysitting certification for students in grades 6 through 8, Safe@Home for children in grades 4 through 6 who are beginning to stay home alone, an Intro to Safe Babysitting class, and a course for grandparents and adult caregivers. Each program focuses on practical safety skills, basic first aid, and confident decision-making, helping students grow into capable, prepared caregivers. Families and organizations may register for scheduled sessions or arrange a private course for a group.
