    HASA is located in Baltimore, MD and has traditionally served students within local schools and clinics. HASA Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Occupational Therapists (OTs) continue to evaluate and treat clients of all ages and are able to offer teletherapy (virtual) sessions.

    Utilizing staff expertise and sophisticated technology, HASA offers a variety of options for overcoming problems. Through targeted play, parent coaching, and/or direct therapeutic instruction, HASA helps children develop the skills needed to carry out their daily living activities.

    OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
    Indications that an evaluation may be needed include:

    -Difficulty with postural control, balance, overall strength and endurance
    -Fine motor deficits, including difficulty manipulating small objects, using scissors, and fastening clothing
    -Difficulty with visual perceptual/visual motor tasks, such as completing interlocking puzzles
    -Over-reaction or under-reaction to touch, movement, sights, and sounds
    -Trouble with handwriting
    -Feeding issues or problems with oral motor movements
    -Difficulty with self care skills, such as dressing, toothbrushing and using utensils during mealtime

    SPEECH-LANGUAGE THERAPY
    Indications that an evaluation may be needed:

    -Difficulty speaking or being understood
    -Problems understanding / following directions
    -Trouble with memory / attention
    -Difficulty finding words to express basic needs
    -Problems with reading writing
    -Hoarseness / difficulty swallowing
