Gilchrist Volun-teen Program -
Do you love helping people? Can you give an hour and a half each week to make someone's day? Can you consider giving the gift of your presence to someone who is lonely? Gilchrist has volunteer opportunities for teens ages 14 to 18. We are incredibly flexible and work to create convenient schedules for all volunteers. Teens will not only have the opportunity to make new friends, meet other teens with common interests, but learn through an extensive two day training (16 hours) which will prepare them for service. The training hours can count towards service requirements. Volunteers will visit patients in skilled nursing or long-term care facilities to provide companionship, play games, listen to music, write letters, share memories and create art projects.
Gilchrist provides medical care, counseling and support to people at every stage of serious illness, wherever they call home. Please consider joining our team and support this very important service in your area. We have trainings coming up April 6 and 7 as well as June 13 and 20. If interested, please contact our Volunteer Recruiter at email@example.com.
