Education Travel & Culture (ETC) is a non-profit [501(c)(3)] educational exchange organization. Its purpose is to promote international understanding and goodwill by providing high quality educational and cultural exchange programs in the United States and abroad. ETC provides inbound program opportunities for high school students throughout the world to study in an American high school and live with an American family. Host families provide room and board, a quiet place to study, and an American family experience for guest students during their semester or academic year in the United States. ETC’s outbound program offers students the chance to study and live in a foreign country.
Kaiser Permanente Sunnyside Medical Center Volunteer ProgramClackamas/Happy Valley
Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center is part of the Clackamas and Happy Valley community in Oregon providing care to members. This hospital has received numerous awards including A+ Leap Frog, 5 star by Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the highest rating by the Thoracic Surgeons for the Center for Heart and Vascular Care. This is a 302-bed hospital that also has a robust volunteer program. In the volunteer program, those age 16 and above will be part of the team that helps provide services to members, patients and staff. There are many opportunities to get involved including screening, discharge support, hospital unit roles and stocking of various units and areas. Volunteers gain valuable experience in units such as Surgical Services, Customer Service, ICU/PCU, Emergency Department and medical/surgical floors.

The first thing that the college does for applicants to the apprenticeship program is place them in a job with a construction contractor (Training Agent). Yes, the college finds a construction job for you. Our trade school offers a fantastic opportunity for homeschool students to gain an education and a high-job without having to obtain a four-year degree. Once hired by a Training Agent, your status changes from Applicant to Registered Apprentice, making you eligible to enroll as a student at the college and pursue the formal education associated with the construction craft of your choice.
