Meraki Creative Works (MCW) is a hands-on creative studio in Bakersfield, California, offering skill-based workshops for students, beginners, and experienced makers alike. Founded and operated by metal artist, educator, and attorney Alisyn Palla, MCW provides a structured, safety-focused environment where students learn by doing.
Originally rooted in welding and metal fabrication, MCW is expanding to include a wide range of creative disciplines such as blacksmithing, stained glass, ceramics, painting, sketching, and mixed media. Programs are designed to support both technical skill development and creative exploration.
Workshops emphasize small class sizes, individualized guidance, and real-world tools and equipment. Students don't just observe, they actively build, problem-solve, and complete projects they can take home.
MCW is equipped with multiple student workstations and professional-grade tools, allowing for a safe and engaging learning experience. Offerings include beginner-friendly classes, private instruction, group workshops, and open studio sessions for independent projects with guidance available.
MCW is committed to expanding access to hands-on education and is actively developing opportunities for homeschool students through workshops, group programs, and potential scholarship-supported access.
