TIC operates exclusively during the summer in the DMV area, offering four two-week sessions designed to give kids a deep dive into specific interests. The schedule is a 50/50 split between technology and athletics, ensuring that mental focus in the lab is balanced by physical activity on the field. By spending half the day on projects like robotics, programming, or digital arts and the other half in coached sports, the program focuses on the development of both technical skills and physical wellness.
The environment is built around hands-on discovery and peer-to-peer collaboration. Because of the two-week timeframe, there is enough space for campers to take a complex project from a concept to a finished product using specialized equipment. This structure provides a social and productive outlet where students can apply their analytical thinking in a team setting, rounding out their summer with a mix of digital literacy and traditional outdoor play.
TIC is a summer-focused program and is fully accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). While our sessions offer high-level instruction in technology and athletics, they are designed for personal enrichment rather than formal academic credit.
