Available: large amounts of materials (including free, extensively illustrated readings, study questions, hands-on exercises, etc., on topics such as rocks, minerals, beaches, rivers, weathering, plate tectonics, groundwater, biological/chemical/geological/physical oceanography, earthquakes, etc), useful for both online and face-to-face learning. Materials can be readily edited to suit your purposes, whether that means deleting, simplifying, expanding, etc. Materials include hundreds of URLs that give students websites to investigate if a particular topic excites their interest. Also included are numerous PowerPoint presentations on dozens of topics that might contain useful images.
Loan of rock/mineral kits for your activities can be arranged, or exercises can be presented face-to-face at your location. Groups of students as large as 25-30 can be accommodated.
To view examples of materials that might be useful check out the following Canvas site maintained by East Carolina University for purposes of science outreach.
