Phoenix Scuba offers Scuba Diving classes for kids 8 and up. Starting at age 8 students can learn to dive in the safety of a pool setting in the Explorers program. This course includes kid-friendly reading material and specialties to increase student comfort in the water.
Starting at age 10, students can attend the Open Water Certification Course. This course includes digital material, classroom, pool sessions, and lake certification dives. Upon certification through SSI, students can continue to build their education through Buoyancy, Navigation, Nitrox Courses, etc., and even learn more about the aquatic environment with Marine Ecology Courses.
