Threads of Ames

Threads of Ames is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching, enhancing, and empowering home education in Ames and the surrounding areas. Threads has developed educational programs for students in pre-kindergarten through grade twelve. Their programs offer age-appropriate classes once a week to all grade levels, taught by competent teachers following the classical model of education.

Their goals are to meet the different educational needs, desires, and goals of local homeschool families with kindness and grace, and to provide programs that enrich students in various developmental stages. Math, science, language, english, writing, geography, history, timeline, etc. are offered at most levels. Need help teaching high school chemistry? Threads offers that class, complete with labs.
