The Unbound Collective is the shared vision of Stephanie Choi and Alexandria Haechler, two local mothers and home educators who were searching for a space where their children could boundlessly grow in mind and community. Frustrated by the limited choices nearby, the pair joined forces over the mutual dream that, “If you build it, they will come,” and the Westport,
Connecticut-based collective was born. The collective is currently enrolling Fairfield County families with children 4-8 years old for the September-December trimester. It is a bi-weekly program hosted in a permanent space on the Post Road for $35/class.
UNBOUND believes that learning should be as expansive as childhood itself. By nurturing the sense of wonder innate within every child, the collective endeavors to inspire a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. Whereas traditional schooling employs a passive, top-down approach to education in which students are told what to think and know, UNBOUND views critical thinking as an integral part of an education, encouraging children to raise questions, think for themselves, and remain unafraid to evolve. For the collective, education isn’t confined to a classroom; it’s cultivated through thoughtful experiences, meaningful connections, and the freedom to grow at our own rhythm. The collective is raising independent thinkers empowered within a vibrant and flourishing community. Come join!
