STARBASE Mississippi is a FREE 5-day STEM academy designed for 5th-grade students to explore hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through exciting, standards-aligned experiences.

Hosted on the 172d Airlift Wing in Jackson, Mississippi, and sponsored by the Department of Defense, the program immerses students in real-world problem-solving while introducing them to careers in STEM and the military.

Throughout the academy, students will engage with 27 core objectives aligned to the Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards. From launching rockets to coding and engineering design challenges, STARBASE MS is built to ignite curiosity and inspire confidence in every learner.
