SHARP Homeschoolers is a vibrant and inclusive secular homeschool group based in Allen, Richardson, and Plano TX, and open to families willing to travel to these areas. SHARP's mission is to help children thrive in their homeschooling experience while providing parents with the support and resources they need along the way.
SHARP caters to children between the ages of 4 and 18, as well as their siblings, ensuring a diverse and inclusive community for all. This group offers a variety of engaging activities and opportunities designed to foster both learning and socialization:
Regular Gatherings: Meetings are at least once a week, providing a consistent schedule for children and parents to connect, learn together, and forge meaningful friendships.
Exciting Field Trips: Field trips are 1-2 times a month, offering fun and educational experiences outside the traditional classroom. Exploring museums, parks, and other educational venues creates valuable learning opportunities and allows children to socialize with their peers.
Educational Co-ops: During the school year, SHARP facilitates educational co-ops where parents can collaborate and create specialized learning environments. These co-ops focus on various subjects and topics based on children's and parents' interests and expertise, providing a well-rounded education for our homeschoolers.
Online Support Forum: SHARP maintains an active online forum where members can seek support, share resources, and engage in meaningful discussions. This virtual platform ensures ongoing support and connection, even when physical gatherings are not possible.
