There are so many opportunities for homeschoolers these days, but the one thing that we found missing was the opportunity to be in a band; not just any band but a marching band! Our founder, Michele Stillwell recognized this and got right to work creating the North Texas Homeschool Marching Band.
That was in April of 2017. We’ve now grown to 18 students and are fortunate enough to work with a phenomenal band director. He has such a passion for music and for teaching. We accept 6th through 12th grades and welcome any experience level. Mr. Himel takes it from there and teaches them the art of their instrument and fosters the love of music. In the summer, we march for HSAA home football games. Once the games are over, we enter our concert season. We participate in games, pep rallies, parades, clinics with celebrity musicians, solo and ensemble competition, and many other activities. There’s so much more to say, but the best way to learn more is to come check us out. Your first class is always free. We accept new students year round! Please contact us for more information.
