MSA Chorale

Mount Sophia Academy Chorale is a non-auditioned ensemble open to any homeschool student in grades 9 through 12 (Students do NOT need to be enrolled in Mount Sophia Academy in order to participate in MSA Chorale.) The aim of this extra-curriculum activity is to equip students to maximize their musical potential through choral singing while promoting a healthy environment for building new friendships. The choir receives instructions on advanced concepts in vocal production, including breathing, phonation, diction, foreign languages, and expression. Students will be exposed to a variety of choral literature from different styles, periods, genres, and languages.

There will be a concert at the end of each semester where the students will have the opportunity to share their musicality and achievements with family and friends. Choir members will also have the opportunity to audition for the Delaware All-State Choir as well as participate as a group in the Delaware American Choral Directors Association Choral Festival. The choir practices every Monday from 6:30-8:30pm at Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Newark, DE.
