Not your average girls' sport. This is something different. If you are a homeschooled high school girl looking for a place to belong, something new, or just a reason to get out and move with a great group of people, rugby is worth a look. No experience is needed, and there is no pressure at all. Almost no one in the United States grows up playing rugby, so everyone starts on equal footing. What begins as one practice quickly turns into friendships, confidence, strength you did not know you had, and a team that genuinely feels like family. It is fast, physical, and exciting, and every single player matters. No standing around or getting overlooked.
Women's rugby is also one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, with college programs actively recruiting athletes nationwide, and players from our program have gone on to schools like Harvard, Princeton, Brown, West Point, Virginia Tech, and NC State, with some continuing into professional and international play. Practices are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings in the Denville area. Come see what it is like on the pitch. Reach out to Coach Troy Rhodes at emailrhodes@gmail.com for more info.
