Little Patch of Heaven Sanctuary Wednesday Homeschool Enrichment Program

Little Patch of Heaven Sanctuary seeks to enrich and strengthen local homeschool students' education by offering programs designed to foster learning and social skill-building. This is done through a variety of classes, including animal care classes, literacy classes, and art programs. These classes fall into three categories: Care, Compassion, and Connection. Little Patch of Heaven Sanctuary believes that by being around nature and animals, students are able to grow and learn more about themselves in terms of care, compassion, and connection.

In the Care classes, Little Patch of Heaven teaches animal care facts, conservation ideas, and what it takes to care for any animal that comes into the students' lives.
The Compassion classes use literature to teach empathy, imagination, and critical thinking skills that the students will take into their lives in the future.
The final category, Connection, utilizes teacher-led art programs and cooperative projects such as a newsletter to strengthen social skills and connection to the world and community around the students.
