The City of Leawood and the Tomahawk Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution are together planting and dedicating a Liberty Tree to celebrate America's 250th birthday this year. The history of Liberty Trees and information on Bur Oak trees will be presented. The City of Leawood will have free seedlings available, and the Tomahawk chapter will have American flags, flag code brochures, flag stickers. and commemorative acorns to give away. Please come and celebrate this event, which the children will hopefully remember for years to come.

This event is free and open to the public. Carpooling is encouraged.
