Learn to Skate for Homeschoolers at Montclair Ice Arena

Montclair State Ice Arena offers a dedicated Learn to Skate program tailored for homeschool families. These daytime sessions provide a welcoming space where children can build skating skills, confidence, and coordination while following the nationally recognized Learn to Skate USA curriculum. Skaters are grouped by ability, making the program accessible for complete beginners as well as those with more experience.

With flexible weekday scheduling and a fun, structured environment, this program supports physical development, discipline, and social connection—all while kids enjoy time on the ice. Each session includes both group instruction and additional public skating time, encouraging continued practice and play. Certified coaches ensure safety and progress at every level.
