The Bridge Sarasota/Suncoast Co-op classes

The Bridge Sarasota/Suncoast Academy Classes allow families the opportunity for their students to interact with other homeschoolers in a classroom setting. This is a co-op style program with parent teachers and also inspiring teachers from within our local community. Classes range from an elementary program for K-5th grade, to middle and high school core academic enrichment classes, such as science and language, along with elective classes such as performing arts and languages. Students can take as many classes as they desire, all in a Christ-honoring environment.

The Bridge is non-denominational, and families come from all walks of life, but there is a Christian statement of faith, and all leaders and teachers are professing/practicing Christians. Classes are held weekly on Thursdays from September through May at Bible Baptist Church on Morgan Johnson Road. The Bridge Sarasota is also registered as a Florida private school, and enrolls Florida resident students who are home-educated and not enrolled with their county home education program. The private school is separate from the Co-op and does not participate with the Florida scholarship programs. However, The Bridge Sarasota is a listed provider for PEP scholarships, and families can use their funds to pay for the Co-op classes through the school choice portal. The Bridge Sarasota also holds a high school graduation ceremony in May and allows any home-educated students to participate, regardless of whether enrolled with the school or co-op.
