Dr. Ana Maria Wilson began violin studies at age three through the Suzuki Method. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in violin performance from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Music in Violin Performance and Violin Suzuki Pedagogy, and a Professional Studies Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music. She earned dual degrees in International Studies and Violin Performance from Bradley University, graduating cum laude. In 2003, she studied at the International Suzuki Academy in Japan under the guidance of Koji Toyoda.
Dr. Ana Maria has been teaching both children and adults for over 25 years. She utilizes a variety of teaching tools, including videos, audio recordings, and games, as well as employing humor, patience, and compassion to help her students reach their full potential. Her program includes both private lessons and group classes, with performance opportunities each semester. She is an active member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, Teach Music Online, and always strives to learn how best to help her students achieve success.
