The Governor's Institutes of Vermont creates prestigious, fun, accelerated, hands-on learning residencies for motivated Vermont teenagers. Any talented Vermont student can apply online at www.giv.org for an unforgettable experience of extreme learning and extreme fun at Summer Institutes. Each year, over 100 Vermont students from all across the state spend two weeks at Castleton State College immersed in arts, ranging from stone carving to improvisational dance to slam poetry. This opportunity has a sliding-scale tuition model so students pay what their family can afford, often as little as $10.
Additionally, The Governor's Institutes of Vermont will be hosting a series of incredible free programs for Vermont high school students called "One Day Adventures!" Each "Adventure" session is led by experts in the field and is designed to offer a meaningful and educational experience, sharing the same values and missions of our larger Summer Institutes.
Every Vermont high school student in grades 9-12 is welcome to attend, whether they have attended a GIV Summer Session or if they are new to GIV! One Day Adventures are FREE for any and every Vermont high school student. Registering is easy, and everyone who registers will be welcome to attend.
