Kaplan High School (KHS) is a private, online high school for students in grades 9 - 12. Programs are individually designed to support student's specific goals through a menu of more than 75 courses, including a full range of core curriculum, advanced placement, and honors classes. Students aspiring to attend a university have access to a rich and demanding curriculum, certified instructors, dedicated academic advisors, and full technical support. KHS is operated by Kaplan Virtual Education, which is a subsidiary of Kaplan Higher Education.

    To me also a very good school with good computer mechanisms for homeschooling, but the billing department can screw you up bad

    Pros: Teaching quality, techology used, help tools
    Cons: Billing office!

    I attended Kaplan Online Highschool for about 9 months. The first 4 months were great! Teachers never failed to contact me on how I was doing in my courses. They graded my assignments on time. The overall technology used is excellent and the help tools were great also. My grades vastly improved and my confidence skyrocketed. Now I am furious! Feel completely ripped off. After I finished my first 3 courses I had trouble getting new courses. I did everything my advisor instructed me to do (contact teachers to get classes closed for me, go to the live session to get new courses, ect.) For 5 months I did this still not able to get into my new courses. I kept asking them WHY they failed to put new ones on and told us that we had everything paid for and there shouldn't have been an issue. Basically they just brushed the problem aside. Finally after 5 months they contact me and tell me that they're going to kick me from the school because we had payments due. They did this by email and gave me 9 days to pay. I have to pay for the 5 months they failed to put classes on my account just so I can get my transcripts back! DO NOT go to this school or fall for their “stupidity”. They will brush you aside just like you never went there. Even the lady who told us I was getting kicked out didn't have any recommendations to go to any other schools. Professionally, the teachers and tools used are excellent but their billing department has no clue what they are doing.
