When children learn to communicate their feelings effectively, they build confidence, self-esteem, and strong relationships. Instructor Tracy Hoekenga, will implement parts of the Kimochis Curriculum, to explore feeling brave, proud, jealous, embarrassed, frustrated and uncomfortable. Children will learn to identify their feelings and practice tone of voice, body language and appropriate words to use during emotional moments. The Kimochis program emphasizes the importance of being respectful, responsible, resilient, compassionate and kind. After learning about character education in a creative and fun way using stuffed animals, children will be escorted to the farm to visit, pet and feed the real animals! Children will be encouraged to make a connection to the feeling they explored that day with their animal experiences.
