Assist in the installation of Food Forests! Interning with Love & Sunshine Food Forestry includes learning opportunities such as planting trees, bushes, seeds, and bulbs. Cultivating healthy soils by spreading wood mulch, compost and cardboard is a large part of food forests as well. These Food Forests create abundant, regenerative ecosystems that provide food, medicine, habitat, and sanctuary for all living things. You'll be learning with, Harper Dron (owner and operator) to build food security and heal damaged ecosystems. This resource runs from spring-fall during the planting season throughout NC as install needs arise. You will get to work outdoors with your hands in the dirt. This is a good resource for building character and learning more about the Perma-culture principles of self-reliance through food and working with nature. Payment is optional dependent on parental preference.
