LKTAS is a traditional art studio that serves students in the Austin area. This classical art studio uses a modern approach to teach students K-12 timeless techniques and approaches to drawing, painting, ceramics and printmaking. Home school classes run August through May, and students may join at any point in the year. LKTAS offers the following breakdown of classes: early elementary, late elementary; middle school; high school and studio classes which serve ages 13 through adults.
LKTAS serves students by teaching them to observe and understand objects and people as light describes them. Students learn to not only draw, paint, print and work in clay; students are learning to actually see the world around them and render and understand what they see. Lea Klingspor has served the Austin area and the home school community for over 20 years and is well respected as an art teacher and mentor. She was the High School art teacher for Regents School of Austin for over seven years.
