Intensive Academic Intervention

CSULB Community Clinic for Counseling and Educational Services has provided comprehensive educational and psychological services at a moderate cost for over 50 years. Services are provided by advance school psychology graduate students under the supervision of faculty in the College of Education.

We are accepting applications for upcoming Fall 2023 sessions (starting in September 2023) Intensive Academic Intervention (ages 6-17). The one-on-one tutoring sessions are tailored to help children make demonstrable progress towards academic goals in reading, writing, and math. A final report is provided detailing the assessment results, the child's responsiveness to intervention and recommendation for future interventions. It is recommended that the child is performing at least one year below grade level in at least one academic area.
