Join us on a fossil dig on October 10th! This is a great way to get out, get dirty, and be a scientist for the day. This event will take place outside in a large field, so we’ll be able to ensure ample space between participants.
The dig site is in Sulphur Oklahoma, and is ideal for kids. The fossils are weathering out of a soft limestone, and are sitting on the surface of the ground. Participants do not need rock hammers or chisels to find many, many fossils. This particular site yields marine invertebrates, and we’ll teach everyone why we’re finding marine fossils in the middle of Oklahoma!
