TheHomeSchoolMom's local resource listings are sponsored by Time4Learning, where you can find resources, support groups, test prep info, and more.

Bridgeview School of Fine Arts teaches centuries-old techniques in drawing, painting and design developed by generations of European masters. These techniques were painstakingly preserved in Russia through the 20th century while they were much forgotten in the west. Bridgeview instructors are now passing it on to new generations, and the results are impressive. Bridge View students win prestigious awards, get accepted to specialized art high schools and colleges. Some even get full college scholarships for such competitive areas as animation, illustration, architecture and design. Instructors teach skills that promote sequential thinking, creative problem solving, spatial memory and imagination, expressing emotions and personal thoughts through art, knowledge of art history and hence history, appreciation and understanding of art in general.

Inspiring, and yet friendly and non-intimidating environment. Individualized approach in a group setting. Groups are limited to 6-8 students only. The mission of the school is to pass on the knowledge to new generations and offer a systematic step by step methodology not widely used in America. This classical methodology has been adapted to the needs of American students and thus teaching is often individually tailored to the student’s specific needs.
