Resource of the Week

TheHomeSchoolMom's Resource of the Week: Smarter Every DayI admit it – I am a complete failure at science experiments. Maybe that is why I get so excited about cool science stuff online. Recently I discovered Smarter Every Day, a YouTube channel created by a missile engineer in Huntsville, Alabama. According to the Huntsville Times, Destin (who only goes by his first name to protect his children’s privacy) is a Christian who doesn’t see God and science as mutually exclusive. His YouTube channel has dozens of cool experiments involving lasers, glass, macaws, hummingbirds, cats and space, honey, and a lot more on the Smarter Every Day YouTube channel, or listen to Destin’s TEDxYouth@Huntsville talk. This is science the way it should be experienced!

What moms are saying about Menus4Moms…

I have tried other menu-planning systems, but I found the meal preparation involved to be too complicated or used too many prepared ingredients and, worst of all, found the taste generally mediocre. I am very happy with the Busy Mom Menu program because the meal preparation is a good balance between home-made and convenient.

I appreciate the fact that each day’s menu includes side dishes as well as the main entree. Also, the prepared shopping list simplifies my grocery shopping. However, what I like best about Busy Mom Menus is that almost every meal is delicious. It is worth the price, without a doubt. ~ Laura J.

I think the part that I love most is the reminders to cook items (chicken breasts, ground beef/turkey, saute onions, etc.) for the freezer. This is the key to quick dinners during the week. I also like the suggestions of doubling recipes and freezing half for another night. I probably wouldn’t think of these things on my own. ~ Melissa W.
