i love that this book encourages parents by showing how simple it really is to educate at home and listing all viable options a parent has in simple form.It also helps you to create a curriculum inexpensively and for your childs needs.
My husband thought I might need this book since we were switching curriculum this year and he was right! We were at PA’s Homeschool Convention this past May and it was so overwhelming (even though I did research some of the curriculum I wanted to look at). Anyway, I poured over this book for weeks and just tried soaking everything in and I will be re-reading it at the end of this school year so I can start preparing for school next year.
It’s a great book, lots of very useful advice to help out homeschooling difficulties that sometimes do arise, and Debra Bell is fun and informative and a great writer! She even emailed me back when I asked her a question! I was impressed!
Cons: none
I love this book! It is the book I bought for my library after reading everything I could get my hands on at the library. I review it every year to keep on track. Filled with practical advice, it is not preachy or judgemental like some I’ve read. Two thumbs up!
