The Learnables language immersion system uses a pictorial system of instruction that requires no translation from English. Students look at hundreds of pictures and listen to audio recordings of words and simple sentences by native speakers.

Cons: Big lessons for younger kids
Grades Used: preK, 2
I got this program as a hand-me-down. I have no idea it’s cost! And the version I have is on cassettes, LOL! But my 2nd grader is learning from it. My prek-er isn’t picking it up, but I think she will easily when she does it again in a couple of years. It is so easy to just listen to the tape and look at the pictures! I have pick some up as well! The lessons are long, so we usually break it into two parts, and do each lesson many times before we move on.
