  1. Mark Kistler’s Art Resources Review by Season
    Pros: Easy to use
    Grades Used: Elementary

My first grader loves the online Mini Marshmallow lessons. He thinks Mark Kistler is hilarious. Even mom, who has never been able to draw more than stick figures, can handle the lessons. They are also learning art vocabulary naturally as they follow the lesson.

  2. Mark Kistler’s Art Resources Review by Tawnee
    Pros: easy to use, fun
    Grades Used: elementary/beginner

We started using Mark Kistler art online in Kindergarten and my daughter loves them. We subscribed to a 3-year membership through Homeschool Buyers Coop and love it. Makes it very affordable.
My daughter loves the Mini Marshmellow lessons which are quick and easy lessons to draw a specific 3-D lesson like a funny character or scene.
They are engaging and fun. The membership includes his formal instruction for elementary and they are a little advanced for my daughter as in order to be independently completed you must have a pretty good reader. She will probably be ready by second grade. Nevertheless, she love the Mini Marshmellow so there is plenty to do and it is amazing how great the drawings are when she’s done. She’s learning a lot and loves to do them. She always asks for more.
Mark Kistler has a knack for teaching and engaging children. I’m glad we found him.

  3. Mark Kistler’s Art Resources Review by Betsy
Pros: user friendly, creative and fun!
    Grades Used: elementary

Mark Kistler is a brilliant art educator with a passion for teaching children to love art while learning to draw in 3-D. Each lesson is clearly explained, humorous and downright fun! My daughter adores the Mark Kistler book she is currently using called “The Draw Squad”. There are many motivational drawings throughout, “before and after” drawings from previous students, including their ages. Mr. Kistler breaks down each drawing into simple steps that even the most reluctant artist can follow. I have one word for the drawings my daughter is doing, after completing only half of the books 30 lessons/180 drawings – AMAZING!!!
