Pros: Easy to navigate - lots of great information
    Grades Used: third and fifth

I love this website. It has given me a lot of great websites to use in homeschooling my children. I just started homeschooling in January and I also work full time so the information and websites make my job as a homeschool mother so much easier. Thank you so much.

  2. Homeschool Learning Network Review by Cathy Rasque
    Pros: convenient and complete sets
    Grades Used: Grades 2-6

What I love about Shurley English is that my daughter is learning: vocabulary words, synonyms and antonyms, grammar rules and how to write good sentences which in turn, writing good paragraphs. Many writing books just give you topics to write about, I can do that. Shurley English shows the structure of a good sentence and how to improved sentences for a good paragraph. This is explained in detail.
She loves to classify the Practice Sentences. (She has even asked me to make up more sentences so she can classify them).
Jingles help learning the rules of grammar easy and fun. Putting rules to music is a great way to retain that material. Everyone can remember a jingle.
I love the teacher’s manual tells us as parent/teacher exactly what to say and the answers are right there. The repetition is great for beginners and can be adjusted for 2nd year students. I like the book starts out slow and ramps up.
