Girls of American History is a secular history curriculum designed to be used with the popular American Girl historical fiction series. Each unit, which is designed to last six weeks, includes a weekly schedule lesson plan, a list of required and suggested books, vocabulary, geography, spelling, craft resources, field trip ideas and suggestions, party and meal ideas, templates, and other resources. There are currently 14 unit lessons covering the time period of 1764 through 1974. The curriculum is not just for girls, but for all children grades 2 through 6. There are many strong male characters in each series, as well as crafts and field trips that will entertain and engage boys. All products are sent via email as a PDF file.
