Resource Description
Child-size Masterpieces is a curriculum collection of postcard-size reproductions of artwork designed to introduce art to young children, ages 3-6. Each level contains an instructional book and DVD, 36 postcard-size reproductions of art to be cut out and used for matching the art to the artist. Books move through increasing levels of difficulty: easy, intermediate and advanced.

Cons: Initially hard to understand
Grades Used: preK, 1, 2
While I have implemented the overarching ideas of this curriculum, I decided it was too formulated for my general education approach. The "system" was hard for me to understand in the beginning, so I avoided using it in my first year of homeschooling. I Love the variety of art you get for the price. We use the reproductions often for many different uses--classifying, matching, studying mediums, appreciating... 🙂
