Goodies Up For Grabs

In going through my shelves trying to pare down my books, videos, etc., I’ve found several homeschooling resources that I no longer need. Rather than wait for a used curriculum sale, I thought I’d take a page out of Pioneer Woman‘s book and put them up for grabs here. Every few days, I’ll list a homeschooling resource, and after a few more days, I’ll randomly choose a winner. Each item will be sent post-paid media mail to the winner. I’m not purchasing insurance so once the item leaves my hands, I can’t control what the USPS will do with it. If I don’t hear from the winner within a week after announcing the winner’s name on the blog, the item will be relisted, so it will be important to check back to see if you won. If you would like to see each blog post in your Facebook feed, feel free to follow this blog on NetworkedBlogs. I won’t be linking to every giveaway post on THSM’s FB page. [UPDATE: Apparently Networked Blogs keeps a separate page for all of the blogs that you follow and they don’t show up in your news feed. Because of this, I will be putting the posts on our FB statuses so you can see them in your feed if you follow us on FB.]

Looking for a curriculum your kids will like?
An online homeschool curriculum can open new doors by creating an interactive learning experience that brings concepts to life.

Homeschooling should be fun.
With Time4Learning, it can be!

Here’s the rest of the deal: The items may be gently used or like new. While the item itself should be in good condition (I’m not guaranteeing it because I won’t be watching every video or listening to every CD), the covers may not be in great shape. As of this writing, items are all from my personal shelves but that may change if friends offer to contribute to the stash. I may not have actually used the item. (You don’t ever do that, do you? Buy curriculum and not use it? I didn’t think so.) Some of the resources may be older versions – I have several great videos but they are on VHS tapes – so be sure to pay attention to whether the format of a resource will work for you.

The rules are simple – for each item, just post in the comments section of the blog post what you like about that particular item. The choice will be random, so it will not increase your chances of winning to tell how your husband just left you and your house burned down and you lost your job so you really *need* the item. Keep it simple.

I haven’t decided yet when I will draw the winner for each item; that will depend on how many responses we get. I’ll post an update as I figure that out. Look for the first item coming shortly, and happy homeschooling!

I have not gone through this particular item that is shown. But I have done research on it, and know it is from the PBS show. I love that it has great reviews and uses humor and creativity to make Math more enjoyable for kids. 🙂

  23. What a neat idea. I think when I go through my items this summer I will wean off some too. I like how the book says standard deviant, is that not sad? It looks like a mystery of a book!

  24. Kelli

I am enjoying your blog and seeing different materials that I have never seen. LOVE seeing new (to me) curriculum. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and your stuff. 🙂

  25. Wendy

    Yeah! Love finds!

  26. Karen McGuire

Thanks for being so generous and sharing this opportunity.

  27. I see from the photo you have several Standard Deviants items. I, too, have many of them. My son has loved them for about 8 years. They move a little too quickly for this ol’ brain, but they’re just right for my son, who’s a global learner. While we have access to Discovery Streaming, they only have a small handful of SD videos, which is a shame. Our local library has very few also.

  28. Kristy Wipperman
