ABRAH
Alliance of Baton Rouge Area Homeschool is a group of homeschoolers, advocating individual choice and freedom in education, serving those families who choose to home school by networking through activities, events, and yahoo groups. ABRAH is an inclusive community of homeschooling families providing support and resources for people who have chosen to educate their families at home. Members have varied backgrounds, as well as varied political and religious beliefs. In ABRAH we celebrate our differences and treat each other with respect and kindness being sensitive to the diversity that is within the group.

Baton Rouge Homeschool Association (BRHA)
Baton Rouge Homeschool Association (BRHA) is a totally inclusive support group for homeschooling families in the Baton Rouge area and surrounding parishes (Livingston, Iberville, the Felicianas, Ascension, West Baton Rouge and Tangipahoa.) We have weekly park days and educational field trips. All group members are treated with respect and civility.

NOLA Learning Odyssey
We are an inclusive homeschool group for families in the Greater New Orleans area. All homeschooling families, as well as families who are considering homeschooling their children, are welcome to attend our weekly meetings, field trips, and park days. Knowledge, Education & You Homeschool Association Inc. also known as KEY Homeschool Association Inc. We seek to promote home education by providing information and vital resources to all area Homeschoolers. We have the right to Homeschool according to Louisiana Law.
KEY Homeschool Association Inc. welcomes non-Christian families into our Association who are willing to follow our guidelines. We are a non-denominational, Christian oriented non-profit service association and our actions speak as our faith. We are a homeschool support group for members in the Jefferson, Orleans, and Plaquemines parishes. Our goal is to provide fun educational experiences for our homeschool families. St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Homeschool Group
This list is set-up for all members of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Homeschoolers in Lake Charles, La. and the surrounding area of SW Louisiana. It's purpose and function is to keep its members informed of monthly hs activities, prayer intentions, club meetings, last minute changes, and parish activities. Since we're women (and proud of it), chit-chat is allowed. Prayer intentions and joyful announcements are always welcome. Urban New Orleans Unschooling Association
"True knowledge is sparked by desire and affirmed by the self." - The Urban New Orleans Unschooling Association was started by an unschooling mom in urban New Orleans, due to the fact that she and her daughter needed an unschooling support group nearby and they had no car during the weekdays, walked, and rode bikes and streetcars :) UNOUA seeks to welcome and support the unschooling families of the urban New Orleans area. We hold two weekly support groups and play times in various urban parks as well as monthly field trips in central New Orleans.

East Bank Homeschoolers is open to all homeschooling families in the New Orleans area regardless of race, creed, religion, sexual orientation, vaccine status, diet, culture, gender, homeschool approach, curriculum choices or age. We welcome all homeschooling families and children of all ages.
We are in our building stages right now, but our hope is to offer fun educational opportunities. These will include, PE, art, story time, and other clubs, classes and events as the group interest and focus evolve.

A christian support group for parents that choose to home school their children. We make an effort to be available to help out one another with issues of homeschooling. We have field trips, holiday programs, and year end events for the children and their families to participate in. We are in the process of coordinating "classes" for the upcoming year, we also coordinate community outreach programs where our children can be involved in volunteer work.

LA Unschoolers
This group was created to support and connect unschoolers in Louisiana. We are not here to discuss curriculum or other school at home issues. Although secular in nature, we welcome unschoolers from all walks of life. Beside planning physical get-together, we hope to explore unschooling topics such as natural learning, respectful/mindful parenting, joyful living, freedom and autonomy, living by principles vs rules, convincing family, surviving panic and criticism, living without fear, non-coercive parenting, deschooling ourselves, and letting go of controls.
