HCHE is a nonprofit homeschooling organization whose purpose is to assist smaller support groups in the area by providing opportunities for friendships and mentorships of a diverse people who live, worship, and operate their homeschools in many different ways. We do not prescribe to any one particular method of homeschooling our children. We strive to provide activities and field trips for all ages and interests. HCHE thrives on the volunteer efforts of its members to organize such adventures. Each activity and field trip is required to be fully self-supporting so that members who will not benefit from them will not be required to subsidize them. It is the responsibility of each family to decide which of these activities or field trips it will organize or participate in.

If you join, you have access to an online membership directory, photos of some of the past events, classified ads, a timeline book you can print, present and past newsletters, an email loop where you can ask questions of the group, a forum where you can start discussions, online access to necessary and/or helpful forms, info on upcoming conferences, and more!
