Arkansas State Homeschool Organizations

The Education Alliance
Promoting, protecting and strengthening education in Arkansas. The Education Alliance is a division of Family Council. Based in Little Rock, Family Council was established in 1989 in association with Focus on the Family and Dr. James Dobson. We believe parents have a God-given responsibility to ensure that their children are educated. Therefore, parents must be free to choose the type of education they believe is best for their child. This group exists to provide information, encouragement, and support for parents who choose to educate their children at home. It is a parent run group operated through a monthly newsletter and this e-mail loop.

Join the Unschool Online Hang Out. This group is for people who live in Arkansas or nearby who use the "unschooling" philosophy to homeschooling their children. These include frequent Parent Support Meetings, Roller Skating, group attendance at the Children's Theatre, Field Trips, Homecoming, Junior-Senior Banquet, Graduation, and other activities. Unschoolers of the Ozarks is for radical unschoolers (and people who want to be). Unschoolers of the Ozarks is for getting together and doing cool stuff, learning things, making friends, and nothing else.

Ambleside Moms In Arkansas (AMIA) is a statewide Charlotte Mason homeschool support group for mothers in Arkansas using Ambleside Online and/or House of Education Online.
