Music at Morristown United methodist Church Concert Series
Music At Morristown United Methodist Church Abendmusik and Music At Noon There are two concert series here at Morristown United Methodist Church. Abendmusik is a series of five Saturday evening concerts held throughout the year (October, November, February, March, April). The Music At Noon series consists of 30-minute recitals at 12:15 pm each Thursday in December and January. A light lunch is also available for purchase before or after the concert (11:30-1:30 pm). Music At Morristown United Methodist Church was awarded the 2005 Outstanding Arts Organization given by the Arts Council of the Morris Area. The series is a recipient of a Block Grant given through the Arts Council of the Morris Area.

Stages of Imagination, a professional children’s theater, celebrates 20 years of performing for field trips and assemblies in Greater Philadelphia, So. Jersey and Delaware. The character education themed, original plays are for kids 3-11. This fall Stages of Imagination presents "Wooden Heart", a light-hearted, original musical play about emotions, friendship, growing and learning for children 3 -11 years old. With song, dance and humor, “Wooden Heart” engages young children and demonstrates that losses, small and large, are part of life and sharing feelings with those we love can help us overcome. This is a unique play that touches the hearts of children and adults with its characters, songs and motions. Performances are offered for school field trips.

Homeschool hiking/biking annual event
May 23, 2010 - May 29, 2010
The homeschool hiking/biking annual event began in May 2005 as a way to gain recognition for homeschooling as well as getting some exercise, group involvement, and introducing homeschoolers and their families to hiking and biking in the great outdoors!! It is an annual event now and will be held each year the last full week in May all across the United States. We are asking for individuals and groups involved in homeschooling to set up events in their areas. An organization devoted to furthering an appreciation of our national heritage through historic preservation, patriotic service and educational projects. Committed to the stewardship of its museum properties, Peachfield and the Old Schoolhouse. The Colonial Dames desire to preserve the building, lands and collections to enrich and enlighten a diverse public. The story of change at these properties will be told to encourage the understanding of architectural, agricultural and educational values through time.

Kittatinny Valley State Park
Glacial lakes, limestone outcroppings, former railroads, and a small airport are features of Kittatinny Valley State Park. Lake Aeroflex and Gardner’s Pond form part of the headwaters of the Pequest River and are excellent for fishing and boating. This scenic property is home to a variety of wildlife such as whitetail deer, wild turkey, a variety of songbirds, beaver, muskrats, and squirrels.

Historic Gateway to America - Liberty State Park is a green oasis in the middle of Metropolitan northern New Jersey. With the Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island as a spectacular backdrop, Liberty State Park is one of the state's most dramatic parks.

Long Pond Ironworks State Park
The old stone walls, furnaces and other remnants of the once industrious ironworking community now sit tranquilly next to the swiftly flowing Wanaque River. The village is undergoing research and restoration and one waterwheel has been reconstructed. Future plans call for additional restoration work.


Manalapan
Monmouth Battlefield State Park
One of the largest battles of the American Revolution took place in the fields and forests that now make up Monmouth Battlefield State Park. The park preserves a splendid rural 18th-century landscape of hilly farmland and hedgerows that encompasses miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, picnic areas, a restored Revolutionary War farmhouse and a visitors center.

Parvin State Park
Hidden in the southwestern part of the state is Parvin State Park, a park whose history is as varied as its wildlife. Situated on the edge of the Pine Barrens, the park not only has pine forests typical to the area but also a swamp hardwood forest. Spring bursts out in bright colors and rich fragrances with blossoming dogwood, laurel, holly, magnolia, wild azalea and over 200 kinds of flowering plants. Thundergust Lake, Parvin Lake and Muddy Run are popular for fishing and boating. Swimming is allowed in Parvin Lake only.


Princeton
Princeton Battlefield State Park
On January 3, 1777, the peaceful winter fields and woods of Princeton Battlefield were transformed into the site of what is considered to be the fiercest fight of its size during the American Revolution. During this desperate battle, American troops under General George Washington surprised and defeated a force of British Regulars. Coming at the end of "The Ten Crucial Days" which saw the well-known night crossing of the Delaware River and two battles in Trenton, the Battle of Princeton gave Washington his first victory against the British Regulars on the field. The battle extended over a mile away to the College of New Jersey (now Princeton University).


Rancocas State Park
New Lisbon
The Rancocas Creek is the idyllic setting for hiking and nature observation in this rustic park. The Audubon Society operates a nature center within the park and sponsors wildlife programs. A portion of the park is leased to the Powhatan Indians. A replica of the Indian village of the 1600s has been constructed on this site. The annual Powhatan Indian event is a festival of music, performances and crafts.

New Egypt Homeschooler Support Group
A support group for New Egypt, NJ and surrounding areas such as Jackson, Millstone, Wrightstown, Hamilton, North Hanover, Columbus, Browns Mills and other areas. This group is for all homeschool families and parents in our area who are currently homeschooling or are interested in homeschooling. We will discuss homeschooling issues and plan social and educational events for our homeschool children. All members are welcome to plan and post events for our group and other groups.



Believers' Home Education Co-operative
We seek to encourage all current and potential homeschoolers in their homeschooling endeavors and in strengthening them in their Christian walks.



Calvary Chapel Old Bridge Home Education Group
Calvary Chapel Old Bridge Home Education Group believes that God has given to parents the primary responsibility to raise and educate their children. Therefore, HEG seeks to encourage and assist the parent in this calling through the variety of ways that its individual members enable the group.

Hunterdon County Christian Homeschoolers
HCCH exists to provide support and encouragement to Christian home education families. Member participation and contribution is essential to the ongoing success of HCCH. Member families receive copies of our annual directory and a monthly newsletter containing information about co-operative learning opportunities, field trips and other group activites. Meetings are held on the third Friday of each month September to November and January to June at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flemington, NJ at 7:30 PM. Visitors are welcome.

Pascack Homeschoolers Organized To Enjoy Better Education (PHOEBE)
PHOEBE is currently a small support group with about 15 families. Our activities include bi-monthly \"Moms\' Nights Out\" at different homes, Family Dinner at the beginning of each new year, and other sporadic events including park days.



F.R.E.E. of Northwest NJ
F.R.E.E. (Families Reaching for an Eclectic Education) is an open, secular homeschooling network with members located in NW NJ, mostly Morris, Sussex, and Warren Counties. Our members cover the range of homeschooling types & ages; whether you are a newbie or an old-timer, have pre-schoolers or teens, unschool or school at home, you will find the support you need! We currently offer regular playgroup meetings, outings, & an e-mail loop for keeping in contact. If you don't see what you are looking for, just ask! Want to plan a trip or start a class? Homeschoolers United Biblically (HUB)
HUB is a LSG (Local Support Group) of the North Jersey Home Schoolers Association. We are based in Denville and are comprised of families from towns as far away as Faifield and Lake Hopatcong. HUB is a Christian support group. We have monthly support meetings on the second Monday night of every month in Denville. We also have educational as well as fun field trips. We are a co-operative group, meaning all members work together to organize meetings, trips, and classes to benefit the group at large.



Parents As Teachers at Home (PATH-23)
PATH-23 is a homeschooling support group, formed by parents for parents, to support and encourage each other, not just in educating their children, but also raising them with a Christian worldview, and enabling them to go into the world prepared to defend their faith.



Penn-Jersey Christian Homeschoolers (PJCH)
We have about 30 member families from the Warren Cty/Mt.Bethel, PA area. We meet weekly for a gym class for the children with a paid instructor. (nominal fee for member families) Moms meet during gym class for support and fellowship.



Skylands Homeschooling Community (SHC)
SHC is a support/play/early-learning group for parents and homeschoolers in the NJ Skylands area (Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Sussex counties). Children are primarily preschool through 1st grade age, although all ages are welcome. Our mission is to share teaching ideas, help one another with concerns, and encourage friendships for our children. We meet once a week and organize field trips and educational activities.



Somerset Hills Homeschooling Group
This is the place where the Somerset Hills homeschooling parents meet. The purpose of this group is to provide a central communication vehicle where homeschooling parents can find the answers to frequently asked questions and share homeschooling news and information with each other.



Sussex County Christian Home Schoolers, Inc.
We are a non-profit group of Christian Home Schoolers who live in Sussex County, New Jersey and surrounding areas. We are parents and guardians who are committed to educating our own children in a Christian environment. We meet regularly for our mutual support in that endeavor. While respecting the autonomy of each family school, our purpose is to share ideas, materials, experiences, information, to offer social and comprehensive learning opportunities for our children, and support member families. Collectively, we represent many denominations, but we intend that all of our activities and interactions be clearly consistent with Biblical principles.



Teens, Tweens, and Company of Northern NJ
Several of us were looking for older activities aimed at middle/high schoolers. We have now started a network aimed at teens and their siblings. We try to engage all of the children, but are particularly focused on the older ones, who, many times, get lost in the shuffle. Everyone is encouraged to meet up whenever, not just on meeting days. Teenagers are a social breed & we are hoping to fill this need, as well as get them involved in more formal activities. Members are also encouraged to plan their own activities & events. Plan on hanging out at least a little while after the structured part is done so that the kids can relax with their friends & we can get some downtime with each other, too!



Fellowship of Christian Unified Homeschoolers (FOCUS)
We provide homeschool families in Ocean and Monmouth counties with Swim/Gym, track-n-field, field trips, promotional ceremony, International/State Fair, Geography and Spelling Bees, Discovery Day, teen activities, drama class, choir, Spanish class, etc. Our Support Group meets the 1st Monday of each month at Immanuel Bible Church, West Farms Rd. Howell at 7:00pm.

Homeschool Academy of South Jersey (HASJ)
Provides students with classes in academic subjects which parents feel they may not be proficient in. We also provide a Homeschool High School Diploma program, Homeschool Monitoring Program-to assist new homeschoolers in their organization and structure-and Tutoring Program to assist homeschoolers in being successful in their homeschooling adventures. This group includes any homeschool family, regardless of religious beliefs, ethnic background, or financial situation an alternative to schooling strictly at home.



Kids for Christ (KFC)
We are a small Christian group of families (~15) and offer some field trips and swimming. We meet at Ocean County Baptist Church and in members homes.



Loving Instruction in Godly Homes Fellowship (LIGHT)
Desires to provide information, prayer support, and encouragement to families committed to the Biblical principles of home education (Deut. 6:6-9). We seek to edify and strengthen each other in our efforts to build Christ-like character according to the philosophy of education stated in 11 Peter 1:5-8, and to develop spiritually mature families(Col. 1:28) who become salt and light in our communities (Matthew 5:13,14).



Mothers and Fathers Instructing Children at Home (MICAH)
We are a support group that offers a musical emphasis. We have an orchestra and a choir (that competes with Christian schools and wins). We also take field trips and other activities. We are located in northern Ocean County, but also have members from Monmouth and Middlesex counties.



Ocean County Christian Home School Association (OCCHSA)
We are a large Christian support group that encompasses all of Ocean County. We offer many activities including swim and gym programs, talent shows, spelling bees, and science fairs. We meet at Barnegat Assembly of God in Waretown.



The South Jersey Homeschoolers Support Group
We have no preference to religion, political or homeschooling style. Our meetings are the second Friday of each month (Sept. - June) at The Loyle Lanes Bowling Alley on Rt. 47 - Delsea Drive, Vineland (Cumberland County). The time is 12 noon till 2 p.m. Children bowl and there is a craft class for the under 6 age group.



Catholic Homeschool Association with Papal Loyalty Educating Together
CHAPLET is a Roman Catholic support group for homeschoolers in Camden and Burlington counties in New Jersey. We are open to any family currently homeschooling or intending to homeschool.



Cornerstone Home Educators (CHE)
A Christian support group consisting of approximately 40 families.We are based in Gloucester County, NJ, but open to all of South Jersey homeschoolers.We offer monthly meetings (CCUMC),monthly newsletter,sports,young men\'s club,Homeschool Connection Classes on Fri.,mom\'s night out,community service

Potters Hand Homeschoolers (PHH)

Saint Gabriels Roman Catholic Home Schoolers (SGRCHS)
We are a support group of about 30 families. We hold various activities especially surrounding the liturgical calendar, boy and girl\' clubs, group classes,pilgrimages, field trips, and outings.
