Jonah Project - Free Homeschool foreign language opportunity
September 5, 2009 - August 7, 2010
Parents; Youth Pastors; Curious:
Would you like something to do for your homeschool students? Would you like something free for your young ones?
We are a local company who is working with a local bookstore. They have offered a large conference room (free) and we have offered one of our foreign language instructors (free). We teach people how to read the book of Jonah, in the original Hebrew, on the first Saturday of each month, at 1:00 P.M.
It only lasts an hour. It’s a fun, but educational, thing to do once a month. It will inspire intelligent discussions in the following weeks to come.
There are no obligations. Just show up and enjoy. Come to: Living Waters Christian Bookstore, 1010 E. Arrow Hwy., Covina, CA 91724 (626) 967-2893. Remember, it starts at 1:00 P.M. on September 5, 2009. Pack the kids in a bus. They are free to ask all the questions they want.

San Diego Holistic Homeschool Community
Holistic is about seeing things in their wholeness. It is about balance of freedom and structure and of, individuality and social responsibility. It is about educating the whole child, not a on a fixed model but where he or she is at (bending the curriculum to meet the child and not the child to meet the curriculum).
Are you seeking to educate and reach children on all levels, emotionally, intellectually, socially, spiritually, and physically? Some interests include community-based education, dyed-in-the-wool unschooling, enki, waldorf, charlotte mason, montessori, free schools, and reggio emilia. let us gather, share, learn and support each other in respectful discussion. At park gatherings, if you bring a snack to share, please let it be a wholesome one (no refined sugar). would love to see something your child created or let us hear about it. let us share in our successes and support each other.

We seek to encourage one another during times of sorrow, discouragement and crises; and to rejoice with thanksgiving to God, over answered prayers and victories, big and little in the lives of our families. We collectively share resource information and education regarding alternatives to government programs and school district services regarding physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and curriculum choices. We meet for food, fun and fellowship on a Saturday night during the months of September, November, January, March and May. In July we have a Family Pool or Beach Party!
