For kids who have already learned the basics of playing an instrument. Take your playing to the next level by preparing for and playing in an actual live concert! These are not recitals - they are real rock shows, in an authentic rock show environment with genuine rock audiences. All students enrolled in School of Rock programs receive a weekly 45 minute lesson and also attend three-hour show rehearsals to prepare for their gig. Choose from several new shows each season. Every show is specifically designed to enhance learning in key areas such as stage performance, harmonies, musicianship and more. Every year the students play over 500 concerts to more than 200,000 people.

School of Rock’s performance-based music curriculum develops confidence and skills in students using a fun and interactive environment. This method combines weekly private lessons with structured group rehearsals and prepares students to perform live on stage. Programs are designed for ages 8-18 and all skill levels. Private instructor, Mary Firestone, is offering 1/2 hour and full hour private music lessons for ages 2 through 100+ Monday through Friday. Ms. Firestone is classically trained and has played viola as her main instruments for 22 +years. She studied music education and music performance at the University of Dayton, Ohio under Dr. Phillip Magnuson and Dr. Lyn Ritz.
