Music School of Delaware
The Music School of Delaware, founded in 1924, is the only statewide, accredited, community music school in the nation, serving residents of Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland. A community resource open to the public, the Music School employs nearly 100 expert educators and offers standard-setting instructional programs for people of all ages and levels. In addition, over 75 public performances each year, many of them free, offer opportunities to enjoy outstanding music in a variety of styles and genres. A financial assistance program is available to ensure music excellence for everyone.

Home School Riding Lesson

SugarLand Stables is now signing up new riders for our spring English/Western riding program. We offer beginner to advanced lessons for ages 5 to adult at our beautiful 200 acre waterfront facility located minutes from Middletown, Delaware. Our goal-oriented program offers a progressive riding experience for recreational riders to riders who want to head to the show ring. Lessons are offered weekly either in group or private format. Group lessons are $30.00 and Private lessons are $50.00. Lessons are usually an hour and a half in length. Our program teaches about horse care and stable management as well as riding!!! Safety in the saddle is our number one priority! Western Pleasure - Our Western Instructors are Cowgirls from the top of their hats to the silver on their spurs! Both Western instructors currently coach for the Washington College Equestrian Team – and boy do they know how to have fun the Western way! Western lessons consist of Western Showmanship & Horsemanship, Reining, and Trail. Our youngest cowpokes will learn balance both in a saddle and bareback before learnin’ how to cut cattle out on the range. We believe that a strong, balanced seat is the cornerstone to riding any horse! Got plans for showing a western pleasure horse? You’ve come to the right place! We can polish your look and get you in the ribbons!! English - Our English Instructor is a Pony Clubber at heart and she’s the most fun & energetic instructor we’ve ever met! Her skills in dressage, hunter/jumper & cross country are divine and she can take any rider and make them shine! Balance and posture is emphasized with all our students before learning how to jump.
