Homeschool hiking/biking annual event
May 23, 2010 - May 29, 2010
The homeschool hiking/biking annual event began in May 2005 as a way to gain recognition for homeschooling as well as getting some exercise, group involvement, and introducing homeschoolers and their families to hiking and biking in the great outdoors!! It is an annual event now and will be held each year the last full week in May all across the United States. We are asking for individuals and groups involved in homeschooling to set up events in their areas. The Museum of Earth History is one of four attractions that support the Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. NWAHomeschool
Primarily for homeschoolers in Northwest Arkansas, but open to everyone. For sharing of teaching ideas, tips, problems, accomplishments, etc. We have one rule: please do not post religious or political posts.



Northwest Arkansas Christian Home Educators Association
NWACHEA exists to provide information, encouragement, and support for parents who choose to educate their children at home.



Saline County Christian Homeschool Education Association
(SCCHEA) has come together for the purpose of providing mutual advice and encouragement to those who are like-minded, especially those families who are committed to providing both religious and academic education to their children in the home environment.



The Learning Alternative (TLA)
TLA is a diverse group of families learning at home in Northwest Arkansas. Some in the group are homeschoolers, while others use K12 through the virtual school. In order to meet the academic and social needs of our children, we organize a variety of activities, including field trips, classes, and holiday events.



Home Educated And Righteously Trained (H.E.A.R.T.)
H.E.A.R.T. is a homeschool support group that serves El Dorado, Arkansas and the surrounding areas. Activites include a monthly Mom's Night Out, weekly swimming, and a monthly field trip.



Home Ed Southeast
Regional sub-group of Home Ed. We regularly go to Little Rock for many reasons - shopping, doctors, events, etc. It's a short, convenient drive. However, we don't have to go there for everything - particularly homeschool events. We have our own focus in our own backyard - Home Ed Southeast - but we can still go to Little Rock anytime for any event.



Believers Homeschool Association
"We can teach our children to have courage, faith and endurance; they can teach us to laugh, to sing, and to love." Each Spring and Fall season, eight weeks of co-op sessions are provided as an opportunity to the families of BELIEVERS. Parents, young adults, and others outside of BELIEVERS join together to teach classes on various subjects. These classes are offered to all ages and cover a wide range of topics.



The Education Alliance
Promoting, protecting and strengthening education in Arkansas. The Education Alliance is a division of Family Council. Based in Little Rock, Family Council was established in 1989 in association with Focus on the Family and Dr. James Dobson. We believe parents have a God-given responsibility to ensure that their children are educated. Therefore, parents must be free to choose the type of education they believe is best for their child. Pulaski County Home Education Athletic Association (PCHEA)
Come see what the Flames are up to. The Pulaski County Home Education Athletic Association was started by parents interested in providing a program that would emphasize character development and provide healthy athletic competition for homeschoolers.

OCHEA Knights Basketball. We are a christian homeschool athletic organization offering competitive basketball teams for ages 11-18 in the Northwest Arkansas area!



Unschoolers of the Ozarks
Unschoolers of the Ozarks is for radical unschoolers (and people who want to be). Homeschoolers who use methods common in schools, such as math drills, spelling lists and field trips only on Fridays will not feel welcome here. If you "unschool, except for math", come hang out with us. You might just find yourself letting that go, too. Of course, anyone willing to wear an "Unskooled Sins Berth" t-shirt to homeschool testing day is someone we'd like to meet! Unschoolers of the Ozarks is for getting together and doing cool stuff, learning things, making friends, and nothing else.

Ambleside Moms In Arkansas (AMIA)
Ambleside Moms In Arkansas (AMIA) is a statewide Charlotte Mason homeschool support group for mothers in Arkansas using Ambleside Online and/or House of Education Online. Members are encouraged to plan regional meetings, nature walks and field trips. Special discussion topics include Arkansas history, native flora and fauna, Hot Springs National Park, Murfreesboro Crater of Diamonds, Arkansas agriculture and industry, and ways to add these study topics to our children's curricula.

Home Educators of Greater Little Rock
Home Ed is a local support group for Little Rock area homeschoolers. We offer support information and connection opportunities with other homeschool parents. We also have activities and small groups based on interest and available leadership. We have over 350 events or activities annually - of a wide variety and covering all grades. These include frequent Parent Support Meetings, Roller Skating, group attendance at the Children's Theatre, Field Trips, Homecoming, Junior-Senior Banquet, Graduation, and other activities. There is also an enrichment academy in Little Rock. We have an Athletic Association providing baseball, boys and girls basketball, girls volleyball, etc. We are the largest local homeschool group in Arkansas.

We are a local support and activity group for homeschoolers in Cabot and the surrounding area.



Central AR Homeschoolers (CARH)
Central AR Homeschoolers was established to provide support and a close knit community for homeschooling families in the central Arkansas area. Most of our membership includes the towns up Hwy 67/167, but we aren't limited to that area. Our group also serves as a main communication line to set-up play dates, field trips, educational events, moms’ nights, or any adventure the members host.
